Your Gateway to an Unforgettable Camping Experience

Craving a peaceful breakaway or adventure? Batis & Bass River Camp and its picturesque surroundings offer an irresistible mix of both and memorable camping for everyone.

A World of Possibilities

Whether seeking a peaceful retreat, chasing adrenaline rushes, or spending quality time with loved ones, our slice of paradise has something special waiting for you.

Kayaking and Swimming

Set your spirit free on a kayak adventure along the river—paddle to your heart’s content!

No kayak? No problem. We provide two complimentary kayaks for your journey.

Dive in for a swim, too! The river invites both adults and children for a refreshing dip. Just remember: safety first with the little ones!

  • What an amazing campsite!! Exclusivity, electricity, shallow river for younger children, dog-friendly, drinkable water, grass, shade, “kuier” firewood to last for days… a fabulous spot.

    Gillian Evans

  • I love this campsite. Beautiful area and the river with the two canoes just adds to it.

    Justin Ellenberger

  • The use of the canoes provided hours of laughter and fun on the river. We will definitely be back. Thanks again for your hospitality.

    Lourdes Bruwer

  • Green grass and the best swimming river for the kids. Fantastic spot.

    Angelique Thacker

  • The owner is kind enough to trust goers with his 2 kayaks that we took up and down the river. I’d definitely recommend this spot!

Fishing

Paradise for family fishing adventures!

Grab your fishing rod and start your day with the rewarding splash of your line in the water.

Experience the thrill of catch-and-release fishing right from your campsite! Reel in barber, bass, brown trout, banded tilapia, and carp just steps from your tent!

Freshwater fishing doesn’t get any better than this!

  • We are having a wonderful time. We have caught three bass. One was over a kilogram. You have a very special place here.

    Barry van Selm

  • We had an absolutely awesome weekend. Our little ones all got a bass or two, so they are incredibly happy.

    Paul Maree

  • “Fishing in the river directly from the campsite is nice.”

    Len Cooper
